 1/10/23 Club Meeting Highlights:.

• Early snow allowed trails to be opened on New Years Eve day, although club volunteers throughout the county are still working to clear trail debris from the early season heavy wet snowstorm.
• The trail accross the lake in Rice Lake is now considered safe to be marked, however Moon Lake is still considered unsafe.
• The county's new Ford F350 trail groomer truck with the new "Ultima" drag is proving to be a great asset and operaters from the other clubs are now scheduled for training. The video of it on our facebook page has had over 46K views and the county is considering ordering a 2nd truck for next season.
• The tracks for our UTV were ordered through Airtec and are scheduled to get installed on Jan. 31.
• Club members are urged to begun soliciting ads for a new updated '24-'25 trail map to be published by summer.
• The Snowmobile Pledge Ride for Shriners Childrens Hospitals, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 21 will depart from the masonic lodge at 8 a.m. and the banquet will be held at the Elks Lodge beginning at 5:30 p.m. Contact "Bud's Tool & Party Rental" in Rice Lake for pledge books. The club will consider changing the event to a summer ATV ride at a future meeting.
•  Tim Haughian's name was drawn for the "attendance raffle" and was present to accept his winnings.

Snowmobile Trail Passes

Wisconsin snowmobilers are required to purchase an Annual Trail Pass for each registered sled. If you're a WI Resident, this is in addition to your WI sled registration (which expires every 3 years).

• AWSC affiliated Snowmobile Club members (Snow & Dirt Club Members) are eligible for discounted trail passes ($10 vs $30). Go to www.awsc.org for more info or to place your order. A verification of club membership is then initiated.

• Nonresidents must purchase trail passes directly from the WI DNR.

• New trail passes will now become available each year on AUGUST 1 for that year's upcoming snowmobile season.

 NOTE:  You will NOT be notified to renew your trail passes. Just like hunting and fishing licences, it's YOUR responsibility to renew each year.

• MAY 1, 2023 is the effective date for the new county ordinance which will then open most county roads to ATVs. However, Several county roads will remain closed to ATVs due to traffic concerns. A link to the proposed 2023 county ATV/UTV route exclusions has been added to the Trail Maps page on this website.
